Tami graduated from a dental assisting school in Astoria, Oregon in 1994. She joined the office in 2012 and says she is blessed by the Six Ave Dental team and her wonderful patients. Her appreciation for her dental skills grew while on a trip to Haiti in 2013. There she gained a passion to use her gifts and skills to serve others in need.
Tami enjoys being a wife and mother keeping active as a family by camping and watching their favorite NFL team (GO HAWKS!) However, college ball is another matter: the Ducks and Huskies are rival favorites in her household. What to do?
Elanna has been one of our assistants since 2014. It is evident that she loves what she does. However as a child she was not always a fan of the dental office so she understands the occasional apprehension some patients might experience. Her goal is to make each patient's visit a happy and positive one! Elanna loves to work but she also loves her weekends filled with exploring and having fun with her nephews. She says she loves sunshine and laughing. In the Northwest it's great to have some indoor sunshine like Elanna. "Next time you visit the office don't be shy to tap me on the shoulder and say 'hi,'" she says!
Jen was born and raised in Tacoma's North End where she attended Wilson High School. She graduated from Bates Technical School with a certificate in dental assisting in 1981. After working for Dr. Hannula for 9 years Jen was married and moved to California where she worked for 6 years in an office where she first met Carole, our hygienist! Then it was on to Illinois for the next 17 years and now full circle back to Tacoma where she relocated in 2014. It's great to have Jen and her wonderful warm smile back with us!
With 2 daughters in college Jen is thankful to be back near her family and friends in Tacoma. She is very active in her church and loves to play the guitar and sing. She enjoys filling her spare time with crafting something creative.
Jen says, "It’s great to be back at 6th Avenue Dental Care and work with the great staff and patients here.
As I am fairly 'new' here I am looking forward to getting to know our patients better while providing them with excellent and compassionate care."
